Bran Muffins
COOK MODEIngredients
- 2 Cups Boiling Water
- 2 Cups 100% All Bran Buds
- 1 Cup Crisco or Shortening
- 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 5 Cups Flour
- 4 Cups 40% Bran Flakes
- 1 tsp Salt
- 5 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 Quart Buttermilk
Instructions
Combine
- All Bran buds and boiling water and set aside for 5 mins until soft
Cream together
- Mixture with shortening and sugar
- Add eggs 1 at a time
Add
- Flour, Bran flakes, Salt, Soda and mix
- Then add Buttermilk
- Add raisins and nuts if wanted
Baking
- Spoon Batter into greased muffin Cups. Bake in Preheated 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Mini muffin tins take about 7 minutes give or take. Can be refrigerated up to three weeks.
Notes
Sooo Yummy when warm with some butter and jam!
